Gamagol is an old meat restaurant near the Myeongil-dong public parking lot in Seoul that grills samgyeopsal and pork collar on a pot lid. The meat goes in the center of the pot lid while kimchi, bean sprouts, and pa-jeori cook around it to be eaten as ssam, served with doenjang jjigae and steamed egg. The entrance has a semi-basement feel, and a slope stacked with beer crates leads down to a large underground hall. Because it is a semi-basement restaurant, the atmosphere is not clean, which can be uncomfortable for those with young children.
