Jeongdongjin Beach in Gangneung is a stretch of white sand and the East Sea directly in front of the Jeongdongjin Station platform. It is a place to watch the sunrise just before the sun comes up and to see the railway tracks meeting the sea. A seaside deck path runs toward Sun Cruise Resort, and at its end are a photo sculpture and the Jeongdongjin Sea Sundial. Some nearby restaurants are closed, and the options are limited.
