Tenjinsha Shrine

Ten Shrine sits south of Shimofukushima Park in Fukushima Ward, Osaka, near a busy shopping street. It enshrines Sugawara no Michizane and Sukunahikona no Mikoto, with three shrine buildings and a sacred tree on the grounds. A priest explains the surrounding history and sights for about 30 minutes, and goshuin are available either hand-written or with one of two limited inscriptions. A daycare center next to the grounds makes the area busy rather than quiet for worship.
