Gyeongbuk Son Kalguksu sits at the entrance of the food alley across from Cheongnyangni Station in Seoul. It serves hand-cut kalguksu in a broth with soybean powder and cabbage, along with baechu-jeon and buchu-jeon. The noodles are pulled from the broth and mixed with scallion seasoning sauce and sesame oil. At the front of the shop, dough is rolled with a rolling pin and cut with a knife, and the noodles have a soft, spreading texture.
