Chilgok Sikdang is a small, old baekban restaurant in Yongsan-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu, run by one person and serving set meals and stews. A table comes with ojingeo durochigi, doenjang jjigae, several namul side dishes, individual soup, and grilled mackerel, and two diners are given three bowls of gonggi bap. There are only three four-person tables, so a wait is possible at lunchtime and can also appear during a meal if you arrive early. The space is narrow and the open kitchen and cooking area are not clean, so it does not suit anyone sensitive about hygiene.
