Ebishi is a handmade soba restaurant on the banks of the Higashiyokobori River, about a five-minute walk from Exit 5 of Kitahama Station in Osaka. Its signature items are zaru soba and a tempura set, with a choice of warm or cold broth. The soba comes in three types, from thin and soft noodles to thick and coarse ones, and the portions are small. On Sundays a line forms before opening, and one case involved a wait of an hour.
