Hwarokdonggul

Hwalokdonggul is a former mine in Chungju near Chungjuho where hwalok and talc were extracted, now converted into a tourist cave. Inside are colored lighting, dinosaur and character sculptures, a wine shop, and transparent boats. The cave temperature stays between 11 and 15 degrees Celsius, so long sleeves or an outer layer are needed even in midsummer. The transparent boats draw many users, so wait times are long.
