Chuncheon Daecheop Memorial Peace Park

Chuncheon Daetcheop Memorial Peace Park sits behind Chuncheon Station next to Uiam Lake. It gathers the Chuncheon Daetcheop Monument with memorial towers for Korean War units, student soldiers, and the Vietnam War. The Freedom Protection Tower model, commemorating the victory at the Soyang River battle, was erected on September 28, 1975, and remained here after the Soyang 2 Bridge was widened in 1995. The park is small and close to a major road.
