Gwanryongsa Temple

Gwanryongsa is a Buddhist temple from the Silla period, located on the slopes of Gwanryongsan in the Changnyeong Hwawangsan County Park in Changnyeong. It is associated with the temple's founding during the Unified Silla period and with a story that Wonhyo taught the Avatamsaka Sutra to 1,000 Chinese monks. Vehicles can drive up to the temple parking lot, and a walk of about ten minutes behind the temple leads to Yongseondae, where a Buddha statue and views can be seen. The path up to Yongseondae is steep, so it is not recommended for those accompanied by children.
