Wonjo Beomil-dong Maetteok is an old tteokbokki shop in Beomil-dong, Busan, serving spicy tteokbokki, fried items, and odeng. The tteokbokki comes in a sweet and strongly spicy sauce, with plump, filled yakimandu and crisp fried items served alongside. The heat builds and numbs the mouth as you eat, so patbingsu or water is needed with it, and customers clear their own trays after eating. On cold days the shop is cold because the heater is not turned on.
