Yayoi Museum in Tokyo covers illustration and commercial art from the Taisho period through the early Showa period, along with exhibitions on kimono and school uniforms. It is a ten-minute walk from Nezu Station, in front of the University of Tokyo. The permanent exhibitions show work by Takahata Kasho and Takehisa Yumeji, and a second-floor connecting corridor leads to the adjacent Takehisa Yumeji Museum. Admission is paid in cash at the reception desk, viewing takes one to two hours, photography rules vary by exhibition, and there is no elevator, so visitors use narrow stairs.
