Jok Phochana

Jjuk Pochana is a local restaurant on Sam Sen Road in Ban Phan Thom, Phra Nakhon, a 7- to 10-minute walk from the end of Khao San Road. It serves Thai dishes including pu pad pong kari, tom yum goong, and som tam. The pu pad pong kari comes with plenty of crab meat and the large bones are cut in advance, and many customers eat it with morning glory and fried rice. In the evening you can sit outdoors and take in the back-alley atmosphere of Bangkok, and the stir-fried dishes are oily and heavily seasoned.
