Machiai-shitsu

Machiai-shitsu is a Showa-style kissaten at the entrance of Rokku-dori in Asakusa, serving coffee and simple meals. Its signature items are drip coffee, Napolitan, sandwiches, and fruit parfait. The shop has been open for over 50 years and offers a morning service until 12 PM with thick toast and a boiled egg, with cash-only payment. All seats are smoking, so non-smokers have to put up with the smell of cigarettes.
