Coffee Cafe DankeAsakusa is a Showa retro cafe in Okuasakusa, about a 15-minute walk from Asakusa Station, serving old-style tearoom dishes such as napolitan, spaghetti gratin, and pudding. The spaghetti gratin tops napolitan with hot white sauce and cheese, and the pudding comes with a firm texture and plenty of caramel sauce. The small shop has counter and table seating and has been in business for over half a century since 1972. All seats indoors allow smoking, so it is hard to avoid the smell of cigarettes.
