Dosan Seowon

Dosan Seowon sits on the banks of the Nakdong River in Andong and honors Toegye Yi Hwang, who taught his students there. The Dosan Seodang where he taught during his lifetime and the seowon area his students built after his death both remain, and the site was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage in 2019. Old willow trees stand in front of the seowon, and Sisa Dan can be seen across the Nakdong River. Free guided tours by cultural commentators are available, and the site is far from central Andong.
