Gueomri Dol Yeomjeon is a traditional salt field on the coast of Gueomri in Aewol, Jeju, where salt was harvested from basalt rock. Seawater was carried up and poured onto flat stone salt pans, and sun and wind produced the salt. The founding of Gueom Village is estimated around 1271, and records of salt production remain from 1559. The salt field itself leaves little impression, while the sea view draws more attention.
