Taneyoshi is an izakaya a five-minute walk from the north exit of Tennoji Station in Osaka, serving delicacies and unusual snacks from across Japan. More than 200 menu items are posted on the wall, including jigoku tofu, crocodile tongue, fried scorpion, cricket, and hoke hoe, and customers ask the owner for recommendations when ordering. The counter seats about ten people, food arrives quickly, and empty glasses are replaced with new ones. The space is cramped, so staying long for a quiet meal is difficult.
