Hiraokayama Observation Deck

Hiraokayama Observation Deck is a viewpoint over the Osaka Plain, reached from Kintetsu Hiraoka Station and Hiraokayama Shrine. From the deck you can see the area around Osaka Station, Abeno Harukas, Tsutenkaku, and Hanazono Rugby Stadium, and on clear days Rinku Town comes into view. The climb from Hiraokayama Shrine up the steep stairway takes about 25 to 30 minutes, and about 40 minutes in total from the station, with a roofed rest area along the way. The first section is a run of 200 to 210 steps, and the sloped sections can be slippery, so shoes with deep tread are needed.
