Quán thịt nướng khói is a street skewer stall on a corner in Hanoi's Old Quarter, grilling pork, chicken and sausage over charcoal. Orders centre on pork skewers, with honey-butter grilled bánh mì, cucumber on the side and canned beer. Food takes about 20 minutes to arrive, and when the outdoor tables fill up people eat in front of the convenience store across the street. Seating is on low chairs and tables at the roadside, where exhaust and grilling smoke make it hard to stay long.
