The Chiang Kai-shek Residence in Shilin, Taipei, is a historic building that was the home and office of Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Mei-ling, and it is now open to the public. It is within walking distance of Shilin Station and close to the National Palace Museum. The residence has two floors, with staff in each room, and the surrounding garden is well maintained. Personal items and photographs from the residence are on display, and photography inside the residence is not allowed.
