Yufuin Ryokan Wazanho sits in the mountains away from central Yufuin, and its rooms have private hot spring baths and tatami floors. Meals are kaiseki served in a dining room, and guests sleep on futons rather than beds in Japanese-style rooms. A Korean-speaking staff member is on site, there is a free massage chair room, and the hot spring water is not reused. The ryokan is far from Yufuin's streets and station, so walking is not practical, and there are no shops nearby without a car, meaning supplies should be bought before check-in.
