Hamel Lighthouse is a red lighthouse on the strait between Yeosu and Dolsan-eup, near the Yeosu Romantic Pocha Street. A stone monument beside the entrance and the Hamel Exhibition Hall mark the three years and six months that Hamel and his companions spent in Yeosu. Around sunset, the lights of the cable car and Geobukseon Bridge come on, and there is a plaza where electric wheel rides are available. At night, the Romantic Pocha Street vendors call out to passersby, making quiet walks difficult, and parking is crowded.
