T Y T D is a cafe in the Hongdae and Yeonnam alleys of Seoul that sells coffee, bakery items, and sandwiches. Its signature Tiwati Di is topped with heavy, nutty cream like an Einspänner, and the drip coffee has a clear bean flavor. Pushing through the large revolving door in the center, you find bread being made in the open kitchen straight ahead, and seats were available even around 2 p.m. on a weekday. The sandwiches have a crisp baguette texture, and the strawberry tart is mildly sweet with fresh strawberries.
