Ginkgo Tree in Bangye-ri

Bangye-ri Ginkgo Tree stands in Bangye-ri, Munmak-eup, Wonju, and is a Natural Monument about 34 meters tall with a circumference of about 14.5 meters. A single tree over 800 years old spreads its branches in all directions and turns the surroundings yellow in autumn. After parking in the roadside lot, visitors walk about 100 meters to the tree and can use a restroom. During foliage season, after 11 a.m., the wait to enter the parking lot grows by more than 20 to 30 minutes.
