Taehwaru is a traditional pavilion on the Taehwa River in Ulsan, looking out over the river and the city. A walking path connects it to the Taehwa River National Garden, and people rest under the pavilion roof or watch performances from spring to autumn. Viewing runs until 6 p.m., admission is free, and visitors take off their shoes to go up to the upper pavilion. Parking spaces block the public rest area, and idling buses give off exhaust fumes.
