Anmitsu Mihashi Ueno Main Branch

Anmitsu Mihashi Ueno Honten is a Japanese dessert cafe in Ueno that serves anmitsu, zenzai and bingsu. The cream anmitsu comes with agar, mochi, mandarin and red bean paste topped with soft-serve ice cream, and there is also a matcha ice cream anmitsu. The shop opened in 1948, seats are available on weekday mornings at 11, and warm tea is refilled continuously. The anmitsu is strongly sweet and the bowl is small, which makes it awkward to eat.
