Hiragishi Tenjin Wisteria is a small park and botanical garden in Sapporo, reachable from the city center with one subway ride. Its main attraction is the Tenjin wisteria, which blooms from late May to early June and gives off a faint scent. The tree was brought to Hokkaido as bonsai during the early settlement period and has been maintained for over 200 years. Outside the blooming period, all the flowers may have fallen.
