Ikebukuro

Ikebukuro in Tokyo is a transit hub directly connected to a subway station, with shopping malls and restaurant streets divided between the east and west exits. The area has many arcades, and the east side holds Sunshine City, Otome Road with its female otaku culture, and the Animate flagship store. Sunshine City is reached through east exits 34 and 35, and exit 35 with its escalator is easier when carrying a suitcase. The ticket gates are crowded and the area is very busy, making it hard to find your way.
