At a cafe in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, visitors meet hedgehogs, chinchillas and several kinds of rodents. The 30-minute or 60-minute course lets visitors touch hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, degus and Yamane. The owner explains each animal's temperament, habits and how to handle it, and the 60-minute course covers eight species. Indoor lighting is kept dim for the animals' living environment.
