Chidori is a yakiton izakaya that opened in 1949 on Romance Street by the west exit of Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo, next to Rosa Kaikan. Its signature dish is beef tofu, simmered for a long time in a large pot until the seasoning reaches the inside of the tofu, along with yakiton grilled over binchotan charcoal, kashira, and tsukune. The seating is mostly counter seats in a box style, with one four-person table in the back, and payment is cash only. The side menu is not extensive.
