Okdongsik

Okdongshik is a Korean restaurant near Higashi-Shinjuku Station, on the edge of Shin-Okubo and Shinjuku. Its main dish is dwaeji gomtang, served with rice and meat in a clear, deep broth. The dining room is quiet and calm, and waits of 15 to 30 minutes occur even on weekday afternoons. The gochujang is quite spicy, so those sensitive to heat should take care.
