Ogawa is a yakitori restaurant in central Tokyo that grills chicken over charcoal and serves it as a rice bowl. The chicken is brushed with a sweet soy tare, grilled over charcoal, and served with rice and sansho powder. On weekdays lunch starts between 11:25 and 11:30 a.m. and ends when ingredients run out, while dinner runs from 5:30 p.m. and is entirely reservation-only. At the first-floor counter the grilling smoke rises directly, stinging the eyes.
