JULIA is a counter French restaurant near Gaienmae Station that prepares Japanese seasonal ingredients in a European style. It uses domestic Japanese ingredients from Ibaraki and Okinawa, adds fruit, and pairs each course with Japanese wine or non-alcoholic pairings. Guests receive finger food and a welcome drink in the first-floor lounge before moving to the second floor, where an open kitchen shows each dish being finished. The space holds only a six-to-eight-seat counter, so it is small and guests have to mind the person next to them when going to the restroom.
