Forest Library

Forest Library is a book cafe in Shibuya, Tokyo, a 1-3 minute walk from Shibuya Station, surrounded by bookshelves. Visitors can read novels, essays, and business books freely while having coffee, alcohol, or non-alcoholic drinks, and can also choose menu items based on the stories in the books. Use is charged by time: you first choose an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink, prepay for unlimited drinks, and then open a bookshelf-like door at the entrance. Even a short stop is billed in time units, so the length of your visit needs to be considered.
