Ishinriki's Bar

Ishinriki's Bar in Kichijoji Minamicho, Musashino, Tokyo, serves beer, Japanese sake, soju, and whisky, and former sumo wrestler Ishinriki is there. The signature dish, chankonabe, comes in soy sauce, kimchi, curry, salt, or miso broth, which you choose when ordering. Chankonabe must be reserved by phone by the day before, and the bar opens at 7 p.m. Ishinriki arrives late because of his training, so he is hard to meet right after opening.
