Izuei Umegawatei is a traditional eel restaurant inside Ueno Park in Tokyo that serves unaju and unadon. The two dishes use the same ingredients and differ only in how they are served, and the restaurant also offers a bento that comes with sashimi and fried items. The restaurant has a history of nearly 300 years and is reached by walking from Ueno Station toward the zoo and turning into the alley next to the shrine. The eel is soft enough to melt in the mouth, but the prices are on the high side.
