Wistaria Tea House

Jade Terrace Tea House (Ziteng Lu Chaguan) in Taipei specialises in Taiwanese tea. It offers many teas, including Dongfang Meiren and pu'er, and staff explain each one before you brew and drink it yourself. The building is over 100 years old and once served as a Japanese customs house and naval dormitory during the Japanese colonial period, with tatami rooms and table seating. Explanations are also available in English and Japanese, and arriving without a reservation means waiting.
