Shoto

Shoto is a pastry shop near Garosu-gil in Seoul that sells Japanese-style shortcakes and seasonal fruit cakes. It serves apple mango shoto, strawberry shoto, and cacao brownies, and brews its own black tea. Whole cakes can be reserved a day ahead for takeout without waiting, and the shop has about four tables. With few seats, weekends bring a wait and cakes sometimes sell out in the afternoon.
