Hup Ka Foon

Hup Ka Foon 合家歡 serves traditional Cantonese hot and cold desserts on the fifth floor of Far East Plaza, near Orchard MRT. The chendol contains gula melaka syrup, and the menu also includes black sesame paste, almond paste, and red bean soup with lotus seeds. The small shop is air-conditioned, and Hong Kong songs play from a speaker at the order counter. The yam cake is soft, sticky, and bland.
