Fort Gate is the surviving main gate of a British military fort in Fort Canning Park in Singapore. The gate was completed in 1860, and beyond it a park path passes large trees and vines up to a summit with views of the surroundings. A small door behind the large black gate leads to stairs toward the roof. Entry is free, and an escalator runs up the park slope, though the stairs to the top are high.
