Fort Canning Park sits in the middle of downtown Singapore, between Clarke Quay and Dhoby Ghaut. It holds a tree tunnel, historical sites, and unusual trees and flowers in landscaped gardens. Entry is free, escalators cover the sloped sections, and benches and vending machines are placed throughout the park. At midday the heat makes walking difficult.
