Saengmyeongui Namu Observatory stands on the shore of Oido in Siheung, where a white metal sculpture shaped like a tree serves as the viewing point. The sculpture simplifies one tree with its branches and leaves, and the Songdo city center is visible across the water. It was made to revive the meaning of Oido's history from prehistoric times, life, and traces of people. At sunset the West Sea glow is visible, and at night the lights come on.
