Unjusa Temple

Unjusa is a Buddhist temple in Hwasun where you can see the legend of the Thousand Buddhas and Thousand Pagodas from the Goryeo period, along with stone pagodas and stone Buddhas. The pagodas and rock-carved Buddhas scattered through the forest and along the paths have different shapes, so visitors look around as if in an outdoor museum. Walking the trail to see the reclining Buddha and the Chilseong Pagoda takes one to two hours, and admission and parking are free. The path to the reclining Buddha includes high hills and stairs, which makes walking tiring.
