Shimonya (Shinjuku)

Simon Ya Shinjuku is a skewer fry shop selling chicken skewers and pork and horse offal skewers, a one-minute walk from Shinjuku Station. It serves pork tongue, liver and heart skewers along with pork makchang simmered in miso and cabbage with miso mayo. Skewers are grilled over fire after ordering and tend to arrive late. Table spacing is very narrow, which makes a quiet meal difficult.
