Kyoen Roan is a fish set-meal restaurant near Shinjuku Gyoen in Tokyo that serves charcoal-grilled fish and sashimi. The silver cod grill is cooked over charcoal in a hearth, and the horse mackerel set meal and yellowtail sashimi are also available. On a weekday at 11:20 a.m. there was a line, but the dining room has a fair number of seats and warm tea is refilled without limit. Going at lunch without a reservation can mean waiting.
