Nishio san

Nishiojo is an izakaya in Shinjuku, Tokyo, a two-minute walk from Shinjuku-sanchome Station, serving Shizuoka-style oden. Its signature items include shochu mixed with hot water, kombu and plum, along with kabosara and tomato kimchi. Reservations are taken by phone only, starting at 1 p.m. on the day of the visit, and food orders are written on paper. The venue accepts cash only and does not serve water or non-alcoholic drinks.
