Shimokita Sou (formerly Yamu-tei)

Shimokita Sou, formerly Yamu-tei, is a Japanese spice curry shop a 3-to-5-minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station. It serves a monthly kima curry, with a choice of two or three curries on one plate and rice options of brown, jasmine or turmeric rice, plus a menu item with coconut sauce. The menu changes each month, and registering a QR code from the entrance ticket machine with an email or LINE account sends a notification when your turn comes. Weekend evenings draw waits of up to nine parties.
