Ramen Ichiryu

Ichiryu Ramen Soba Shimokitazawa is a Tsuruga-style chuka soba shop a two-to-three minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station. Its golden chuka soba combines chicken broth with ginger, served with chewy curly egg noodles and bite-sized gyoza. The shop opened in Shimokitazawa in 1984 and moved to its current location by 2025. Orders are placed verbally, payment is cash on the way out, and food arrives about three minutes after ordering, though the tables are dirty and the sewer smell is strong.
