Chūkasoba Kotetsu

Chukasoba Kotetsu is a shoyu ramen shop in the Shimokita Ichibangai alley, about a six-minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station. Its chuka soba comes in a clear shoyu broth mixing chicken and fish stocks, topped with thin springy noodles, chashu, wonton, and flavored egg. Buy a meal ticket at the kiosk on the left of the entrance, then sit at the counter and pour your own water from the water server beside it. There are only eight counter seats, so they fill up quickly even right after opening.
