The Suzunari

The Suzunari is a two-story small theater a short walk from Shimokitazawa Station, with a bar and izakaya on the first floor. The building is over 50 years old, and the performance space sits at the top of a narrow, steep staircase. Seats and stage are very close, so the audience can feel the actors' expressions and even their breath. Seating is narrow with bench seats, which can make the back and hips ache during long performances.
